Y1051 Fiber Projector (for Counting Fiber Count)

Used for observing the surface distribution and counting of wool, rabbit hair, animal fibers, and various natural or blended/man-made fibers.

【Man-Made Fiber Fineness Calculation Method】

1. Cut the carded fiber to a 20 mm length using a Y171B (200mm) fiber cutter.

2. Weigh the cut fibers on a JN-B-5 precision torsion balance.

3. Evenly distribute the weighed fibers on a glass slide and place it on the moving stage of the Y1051 fiber projector. Adjust the projector’s focus until a clear image of the fibers is displayed on the screen.

4. Slowly move the stage from right to left and count the number of fibers passing the crosshair on the display screen.

Calculation Formulas:

1. Fiber Denier (D) = (Fiber Weight × 450) / Number of Fibers

2. Fiber Decitex (dtex) = D × 1.11
